RADELAIDE
You know those times where you just wanna spend time with the person you love? You wanna just chill. Have no distractions. Spend quality time together. This is what Maria and I definitely needed. Coming off our last trip to Japan which was "Hectic", we never really got the couple time needed. We decided to book a 5 day trip away to Adelaide to just be with each other. Here's a little blog about my experience in the City of Churches (Radelaide).
Majority of the days we'd wake up super late (due to being lazy, cuddling and doing morning yoga). Every morning we'd stalk a couple of online city guides/local Instagrams for the best places to eat! I also got to visit my first Afghan restaurant. The flavours in Afghani cuisine are so unique... my dish was the fried dumplings with minced beef and a side serving of afghan rice and Maria got the incredible Eggplant curry with Afghan rice. The Chai from this place was on a whole different level... definitely one to try!

The busiest Brunch place we visited was ARGO. This was the stereotypical "healthy Brunch Spot" in which every local grammer would go to, just to take a snap of their delicious Acai Bowl and Matcha Latte. But.. yeah.. we got a warm salad with chicken and egg and also shared a bowl of their Acai Bowl (6/10). We waited about 10 minutes to get a seat which wasn't too bad for a packed out cafe. The bill came out to around $70 which was a bit on the pricey side but never the less, decent for our first "Brunch" in Adelaide.
After brunch, we walked around the East End which reminded me so much of Brunswick street in Melbourne. It had loads of cafes, gelato places, vintage shops and some dope spots for some photos... So we decided to stop at these stairs to have a little shoot for the gram.
We even stumbled across an alleyway...
The last stop of the day was at Glenelg. This is where I took my first Adelaide tram down to the freezing coast! Glenelg (Same name spelt backwards lol) is a super quiet coastal town which was a small, more exclusive version of LA's Santa Monica Pier, with no boardwalk shops/cafes or any annoying street vendors. The best part of Glenelg was probably the little playground that had mini trampolines and an interesting metal slide.
After stumbling upon this instagram worthy station, I had to snap it. There's a strange vibe I get when I walk through Adelaide. It seems as if turned back the clock 5 years ago in Perth. It really makes me appreciate the different cities our country has to offer. The best thing Adelaide has is it's delicious food.
